The Mr. Fox Travelling Tailor has visited London twice a year since 2018 — every April and every September, without interruption. The most recent visit ran from 12 to 18 May 2026.

The clients who return do so because the commissions hold — a suit made in New Delhi, from cloth chosen on Regent Street, fitted in London before a single stitch is placed in the final cloth. The programme continues because the work is right.

The Programme

A full bespoke consultation. In a working cloth merchant's room.

The consultation takes place at Huddersfield Fine Worsted on Regent Street — one of Britain's oldest cloth merchants, established on one of London's great commercial streets. The cloth you commission from is not brought in a suitcase. It is on the shelves around you, available to handle before a single choice is made.

The process runs across two weeks. In the first week, measurements are taken, cloth is selected, and the full commission brief is established. In the second week, every garment is cut in muslin and fitted on the body before the final cloth is touched. Adjustments are made in London. The work begins in New Delhi only once the fit is confirmed.

This is the same standard applied to every commission at the Defence Colony atelier. It is bespoke in the original sense — not made to a block, not adjusted after arrival. Made once, correctly, for one man.
